At first glance, this house looks industrial from the entrance with a long unit of black metal structured storage, light wood finished bookshelves, and TV console. The dark walnut wooden flooring compliments the space, making a contrast with the white wash wall. However, kitchen tells a different story. Coming from an Asian and European background, the homeowners want to have a countryside and rustic feel, at the same time mixing it with local elements. With using white paneled door and a classic knob for the cabinets, added to a light wood solid top, the dry kitchen is able to represent a European countryside home. The wet kitchen is enriched with Asian Peranakan tiles, that is used in both bathrooms as accent walls. Not forgetting the bright wall in the wet kitchen and white tiled back splash that widen up the minimal cooking space.
